ANDREW LLOYD-JONES

About
Andrew Lloyd-Jones is a professional artist based in the heart of North Wales, specialising in both landscape and portrait work. Trained at Wrexham College of Art, Andrew works primarily in oils, blending traditional techniques with a spontaneous expressive style that captures the subtle play of light and shadow in natural settings.
For many years, Andrew pursued a successful career as an illustrator in London, working in publishing and advertising. Eventually, the pull of his Welsh roots proved too strong, and he returned home settling in the picturesque village in North Wales.
His artistic goal has always been to create work that not only captures a strong likeness but also conveys the unique essence and character that makes each image special.
In his spare time, Andrew finds inspiration in the wild beauty of Snowdonia, often heading out with his sketchbook—and his dog, Remy.
He now teaches and paints from his North Wales studio, sharing his passion and experience with students in a relaxed and creative environment.
